We’re a team of passionate nerds who love logic, science, and a little bit of chaos theory. Inspired by research and driven by the desire to make dating smarter, kinder, and more authentic, we built Quirks to celebrate what makes us all human.

Founder

Hi, I’m Aastha- an engineer turned project manager turned dating app founder. Years ago, I went on a date that, well… should’ve never made it past the “hey” phase. His quirks and mine just didn't align.

Once home, I caught myself in the endless loop of easy, surface-level connections again. That made me think, "What if some dating apps encouraged depth over endless choice? What if we could show our real, unfiltered selves upfront: quirks, flaws, and all and attract people who actually get us? And what if we used a therapist-curated framework of human traits to pair people in a way that was thoughtful, intentional, and actually made sense? That’s where the idea for a different kind of dating app was born.

After a few detours and lot of personal growth, I founded Quirks with my oldest friend and first co-worker in the tech world!

I started as a mechanical engineer, but I quickly realized that what I truly love is building things. When life took me in a different direction, I taught myself to code—and for the past decade, I’ve been developing and optimizing end-to-end systems.

My experience spans full-stack development, mobile applications, and software architecture. I’ve worked on everything from backend infrastructure to front-end user experiences, ensuring seamless, high-performing digital products.

When Aastha approached me with the idea for Quirks, I saw an opportunity to build something both technically challenging and meaningful. By leveraging smart algorithms and a structured approach to compatibility, we’re creating a platform that fosters more intentional, authentic connections.

At Quirks, I lead the engineering efforts, ensuring our platform is scalable, efficient, and built to grow with our users.
